Question by anserme: Are there any online schools that offer classes for homeschooling grades 1-12 taught in Spanish?
This is for someone in Honduras who wants to end her preliminary schooling and ultimately receive a High School Diploma. In view of the fact that she is outside the USA it doesn’t matter where in the world the school is located. She doesn’t speak English the courses must be offered in Spanish

While online version sites frequently distort language, there are some very excellent online dictionaries. I’m surprised you’re not permitted to use them, unless your teacher wants you to stick with the tools and vocabulary he/she gave you. My favorite online dictionary is www.wordreference.com. It clarifies meaning and usage as well as provides forums for tough questions (Note: They won’t do your homework!) I would question your teacher to clarify if he/she sees a difference between online dictionaries and online translators. My Spanish classes can use the dictionary online but not translators where you type in a condemn in English and it spits back a condemn for you.
You can also get extra help from www.studyspanish.com to know the grammar you’re using.
Your best resources, though, may possibly be the notes you take in class and/or your textbook.
¡Buena suerte!

Question by anime_dbzgurl: Is there a textbook that foreigners use to learn Italian quickly in Italy?
I’m looking into learning italian. I speak a some Spanish and a small Portuguese. I’m in German 201 in college and we have these fantastic books that foreigners who are really living in Germany use to learn German. They aren’t like the usual large textbook, but rather booklets all in German and very thin. Is there anything like that for Italian? Let me know!
Best answer:
Answer by Alissia
Well, it depends. If you are only looking to learn enough Italian to get by while you’re in Italy then I would recommend Teach Yourself Italian because it teaches you the italian you would need to know to order food, go shopping at a market, make reservations, asking how much things cost and things like that. Evey unit has a theme like, one might be about the post office and it has phrases and vocabulary that you might need there and then another might be about phrases and vocabulary you would need to know at a bakery.
If you want to learn Italian to get to high conversational level and not just for a visit to Italy then there are many thing to choose from. I don’t reckon there is one book that can teach you Italian, rather you would need a few books. In view of the fact that you speak Spanish like me and some Portuguese you’ll find it relatively simple, I got to a pretty high level just from self study and I had a book that focused on verbs and how to conjugate them and it had many helpful exercises, It was a book by Barron’s and it was green, I’m not sure what the name of it was but it must have been something simple like Italian Verbs. It was a very helpful book that taught me a lot. There are many books to choose from, just do a small research and go on Amazon and read some reviews for learning Italian books and see what looks like something you’d like to use to learn italian.
Buona fortuna!
